FiniteHelp started when two IU students – Stephen Leung, a Math, Econ, and Finance major, and Justin Tallant, an Entrepreneurship major, decided that there had to be a better way to learn Finite Math than the typical college lecture format. Stephen had been tutoring in Finite for 3 years and already had more than enough knowledge to design a lesson plan for the course. Justin, who was already interested in online business and intrigued by ed tech, had the technical skills to create it. They decided to create a website that would save students time and frustration by teaching the most efficient and comprehensible problem solving techniques.
“ I’ve graduated from IU with degrees in Math, Econ, and Finance. During my time at IU, I tutored in Finite Math for over three years. Right now I work at AIA as an actuary. ”
“ I build web applications. I also blog about web development, entrepreneurship, and other random things. ”
